Juvenile Court

The County Court has exclusive jurisdiction of all cases wherein a juvenile (a child under the age of 18 years) is alleged to be a child in need of supervision, an abused child, a neglected child, or a delinquent child (one who commits a crime).

These cases are filed in the Youth Court Division of the County Court.

Court Rules 

(Effective August 1st, 2024)

  • Absolutely NO cell phones or other electronic devices allowed in the courtroom.
  • No vaping allowed in the Justice Center.
  • Do NOT approach court personnel in the courtroom unless your name is called.
  • No weapons of any kinds allowed.
  • No food or beverages allowed in the building.
  • Excessive talking and/or bad attitudes will not be tolerated.
  • No sleeping.
  • You must remain in the building while waiting for your hearing. We WILL NOT come get you out of your car.

Dress Code

(Effective August 1st, 2024)

  • No halter tops, tank tops or muscle shirts allowed.
  • No revealing clothing allowed.
  • No hats or hair nets allowed unless for religious beliefs.
  • No shorts or miniskirts allowed.
  • No shirts with offensive writing or emblems allowed.
  • No pants hanging below the waist line.
  • No excessive holes or tears in jeans.
  • No pajamas or slippers.
