Area C: Nesbit/Walls

Area C:  is located in central and west DeSoto County and includes the areas of  Nesbit, Lake Cormorant and the Town of Walls. 

Program

On November 1, 2022, there were 1283 residential addresses in Area C.

On January 3, 2023, the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors awarded AT&T Internet an DeSoto County ARPA Broadband Deployment Grant to provide high-speed internet access to the 1283 homes in Area C.

Scope of Work

Technology: Fiber Internet

Speed: At least 1 Gbps available to each location even at peak times. (Customers will be able to sign up for slower or faster internet if they want.)

Internet to home: All addresses on the Broadband Map will be able to receive fiber to the home.

Financials: Cost to provide access to every address.

• DeSoto County ARPA Deployment Grant: $2,375,624
• AT&T's Area C Investment: $4,176,664

A pending Grant from the MS BEAM office will reduce the cost to DeSoto County and AT&T.

Pricing

AT&T offers various speeds of service.  It is up to each customer to determine which speed, if any, is appropriate to purchase.
