Power to Care Entergy Bill Assistance 

Provides emergency bill payment assistance to seniors and disabled Entergy customers in crisis. Apply with Mid-State Opportunity (662-895-4153), Sacred Heart Southern Missions (800-232-9079), or with Samaritans (662-393-6439).

Weatherization Assistance Program

The program is designed to reduce home heating and cooling costs by improving energy efficiency and ensuring health and safety. Priority is given to low-income elderly and disabled individuals. Visit www.mdhs.ms.gov/wap.

Lifeline Phone/Internet Assistance Program

Qualifying customers receive free or discounted cell phone and plan, internet, and/or home phone service. You can apply online at www.lifelinesupport.org or call (800) 234-9473 to see if you qualify.

CaptionCall by Sorenson (Telephone Captioning Service)

Provides free captioning services and a free home phone for the hearing-impaired. For home phones, CaptionCall transforms calls into text and displays it on the big, auto-scrolling screen as the person is talking. CaptionCall Mobile provides a free Captioning App that you can download to your personal cellphone. CaptionCall is free for people with hearing loss who need captions to use the phone.
