Stop signs will be added to the McIngvale Road / Green T Road intersection starting June 7, 2021. The City of Hernando will begin implementing the final traffic control in preparation for the opening of the new section of McIngvale Road south of the Green T Road intersection.
On June 7, 2021, contractors on the McIngvale Road Realignment project will install permanent STOP signs for both east and west bound traffic at the intersection of Green T Road and the section of McIngvale Road north of Green T Road. This will create 3-way stop conditions at this intersection.
The intersection will remain a 3-way stop until the ultimate opening of the new section of McIngvale Road now under construction. At that time, Stop signs will be removed on McIngvale to allow it to be a free flow arterial. This will make the intersection ultimately a 2-way stop with Green T required to stop and yield to McIngvale Road traffic. Notice will be given prior to the changes being implemented.
