2025 Municipal Elections

Municipalities in DeSoto County are holding elections in 2025. 

Party primaries are on April 1, 2025, in Hernando, Horn Lake, Olive Branch, and Southaven. Walls will not have primaries since all candidates are unopposed. Primaries occur only when multiple candidates from the same party compete for the same seat.

Primary Election: April 1, 2025   Hours: Polls are open 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

General Election for Municipalities: June 3, 2025   Hours: Polls  open 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Municipal Absentee Voting Information

In-person and mail-in absentee ballots are now available in municipal clerks' offices for the Municipal Primary Election on April 1, 2025.

If eligible, ballots will be provided upon request by municipal clerks.

  • March 29: In-Person Absentee Voting Deadline for Municipal Primary Election
